A Mausoleum for Frostgrave

A Mausoleum for Frostgrave or a Witchlands Tomb for Flintloque.

Continuing with my series of terrain building/terrain gallery posts as the first post of each month, for October, I present this scratch-built Mausoleum built for the newly released skirmish game Frostgrave, written by Joseph. A. McCullough and published by Osprey Games.

The model was inspired by the first scenario - The Mausoleum and features in the October issue of Miniature Wargames with Battlegames (issue 390 - October 2015).

For details of MW issue 390 please go to this link.

The five page article covers planning, construction and painting of the model. In the past I have been critical of the layout and content of such 'how to build terrain' articles believing them to be too brief or lacking suitably large step-by-step images. In this tutorial, Henry Hyde (editor) has done a great job of presenting a true start-to-finish tutorial full of large and informative images. Well done.

I look forward to seeing more large layout terrain building articles as featured in both of my terrain building books - Building Wargame Terrain and More Wargame Terrain in future issues of Miniature Wargames.
